Mashable.com has but together a list of upcoming social media tech conferences that are coming up.
Affiliate Summit and Pubcon are on this list, and those are two conferences I highly recommend to any Internet Marketer.
And while I’d love to attend all of these events (and I’d love to know who does go to all these events) I’d be interested in hearing what shows everyone puts more emphasis on over others.

For a few months now, I’ve talked at length about the “Amazon Tax” that requires online merchants collect sales taxes in various states. For awhile, it has been popping up on a state by state basis. But on July 1st, the US Congress became involved in the matter.

I found this great article over the weekend where Professor Bryon Sharp was interviewed on his opinion about engagement metrics.
Having just started to research companies like Vocus, whose software suite will allow a company or an agency to monitor a companies engagement, I find the article interesting, though I do not entirely agree with the opinion of Professor Sharp. I do understand that data can be manipulated, and there is always the human factor when working with numbers, but metrics should always be used as a baseline for any marketing decision that is made.
