3/29/2010 by Buck | Affiliate Marketing | Add a comment

Skimlinks now has a new offer called Skimkit that allows publishers to quickly and easily browse all the products available on Skimlinks’ affiliate database and add links to their articles with a click.

Google announces plans to offer Google Analytics Opt-Out

The Econsultancy blog posts a dreary picture on the topic:

“Unfortunately for publishers using Google Analytics, Google’s solution will mean that users who really want to opt out of Google Analytics tracking will be able to do so easily. 3/11/2010 by Buck | Internet Trends, Natural Search | 1 Comment

I thought this tactic had long since died but it has reared its ugly head again – the “SEO” Cold Call Lie.

You know how it goes:

Salesman: Hi Sir, I’m calling today about your website

Owner:  Oh, yes?

Salesman:  How would you like to put your website in front of thousands of potential visitors every day?

Owner:  Why, that sounds amazing, but how can you do that?

Salesman:  With our secret techniques we can get you #1 position on Google this afternoon!

Owner:  Wow, you must be good!

And we all know the outcome of this fabrication:  A Pay Per Click campaign that will exhaust itself faster than you can say “Whoopahh”!

It’s companies like this that annoy me so much because they …
